About Us

Winchmore Hill Open Gardens has been running for several years in our little Chiltern Village. We have a wide variety of private gardens ranging from the marvellous Penn House to miracles in miniature with our cottage gardens. For many of, us Open Gardens is a great motivator to make our gardens presentable. During lockdown our gardens still flourished with perhaps more care and attention than they would normally receive. We recorded videos to raise money for Rennie Grove Hospice Care and still support them today. Read more below to find out about this wonderful charity.

Rennie Grove Hospice Care

Rennie Grove Hospice Care is a wonderful organisation caring for those with life-limiting illnesses. Their nurses give support and relief to patients, helping to make their final journey as pain free and dignified as possible.

During lockdown, the Rennie Grove Hospice at Home service can be the only human touch some people will have at the end of their lives. The work they do also helps keep people out of hospital, reducing the strain on the NHS.

To continue doing this vital work, Rennie Grove depends on donations from people like you and money raised by events like our Open Gardens. Every £5, £10 or £20 you donate will be matched by one of our local estates, making your money go further than ever. Please enjoy our Open Gardens and please support with a donation.

Your donation

100% of your donation goes to fund Rennie Grove Hospice Care... but that's not all.

One of the estates close to our village and one of our pubs, The Potters Arms, have agreed to match everything that you donate up to the value of £1000. Their generosity means your money will go even further, making a real difference.
