Sad news from Winchmore Hill allotments

It has been brought to our attention that fruit and vegetables have been taken from several allotment plots without the owners’ permission.

We would like to remind everyone that each plot is cultivated and maintained by individual tenants who invest significant time, effort and expense in growing their produce. Crops should never be picked or removed from anyones plot unless the owner’s permission has been given.

The allotments are a valued community resource built on mutual trust, respect and consideration. The removal of produce without permission is theft and is extremely disheartening for those who have worked hard throughout the growing season.

If you witness any suspicious activity or have any information that may help, please report it to the allotment committee.

We also encourage everyone to remain vigilant and to look out for villagers plots.
