Over the Summer term, the children enjoyed several events, including sports festivals, the May
Fayre and drama workshops. The children have taken part in several sporting events at Holmer
Green senior school as part of our sports partnership festivals with other schools. They have
attended some fantastic sessions, including athletics, football, gymnastics and multi-sports
themed events.
May Fayre – a huge thank you!
I wanted to take this opportunity to say a HUGE thank you to Sam, Jessie, Sally, Sarah and
Hattie and the P&F team who worked tirelessly to organise a fantastic May Fayre this year.
Thank you also to all of our parents and staff members who kindly helped to run stalls, made
cakes and donated toys and goods, not to mention the set up and clean up. We are always
touched by the amount of effort and commitment that goes into our fundraising events and
are very grateful. We all had a lovely time despite the slightly chilly weather and welcomed
many visitors, villagers and current and former pupils.
On Thursday 4th June, we went on a whole school trip to Kew Gardens to learn more about
plants and their adaptability. The children had a lovely day, despite the weather, and did
educational workshops on amazing plants and maths in the great outdoors.

The children were very excited about the arrival of our first ever duck eggs, all 5 hatched into
gorgeous fluffy ducklings! We learned all about their lifecycle and how they grow. In previous
years, we have had hen eggs and chicks and this was our first time having ducklings and two of
them were adopted and now live in the village!
Our year 2 children have completed their final term here at Coleshill School, after three very
special years together. We want to give them a lovely send off before they head to their new
schools in September for the start of year 3. We wish them all well as they transfer to their
new schools, but also hope that they won’t forget us and will pop back to let us know how they
are doing! We still have regular visits from many alumni, who have fond memories of being at
Coleshill School.
The children did three fantastic performances of our Summer play “Hats Off!” in July and
enjoyed many brilliant events including Sports Day, our African drumming workshop and the
Country Dancing festival before the close of the academic year.
We look forward to welcoming our new Reception children in September 2026, if you know of
anyone still looking for a school place or who have recently moved to the area, please put
them in touch with the office at office@coleshillceinfant.school
