The Residents’ Association has been thinking about how best to communicate and connect with
residents and we are going to ring the changes in 2025. While we always get good feedback on the printed newsletter, there is an ever-growing group who say they don’t engage with it. They
worry that it is a waste of resources especially when there are so many digital channels open to us. The Village News also takes a significant amount of time and energy from the people who put it together.
Where the balance is, we’re not yet sure but it feels right to take a step back and at least ask the question. It’s too early to predict the answers, but it feels like there is still a future for a paper newsletter, albeit a much shorter one. There is of course the village Facebook page, now under new management, which is a regular source of interest. Now there is this blog where stories which would normally appear in our printed newsletter will be displayed.
We are also pushing our Village Information whatsapp group to deliver rapid news. Complete the contact form in the footer below with your mobile number to be added to this moderated group. You can also use this form to send in your ideas on future communications or anything else that’s on your mind.
