Curzon’s school vision is that everyone grows like the mustard seed into a large tree that can support others. We continue to develop and flourish in many ways.
Welcome to our Autumn 2025 news.

Our fabulous Ofsted report
• The school’s ambitious curriculum is well planned with a clear intent to provide high quality learning while prominently promoting pupils’ personal development.
• The school’s provision for pupils’ personal development is excellent.
• Pupils are fiercely proud of their school. They embody the school’s values of ‘courage, kindness and respect’ in the way that they learn and behave.
• Pupils show excellent behaviour and attitudes to their learning.

Happy Birthday Curzon!

Curzon celebrated its 175th birthday this year!
Although the original buildings are no longer here, there has been a school on this site since 1874. We celebrated in style - dressing up in our finery and having a birthday lunch together. Courtesy of Wenzel’s, we shared a birthday cake cut into over 170 slices. Our governors collated artefacts from the past and created our very own Curzon Museum. At the end of the week, a special tea party, featuring beautiful singing by our school choir, was held for Curzon alumni and current and previous staff at Penn House

Later this term, we plan to take a drone photo of the whole school marking out 175 Years on our field.
Helping Others
We have recently elected new House Captains and School and Eco Council representatives. Their jobs will be to raise money for charity and support the community. Each pupil in Year 6 has a special role within the school ranging from Reading Ambassador to Forest School Leader.

Within this school culture of helping others, some of our pupils have been starting their own entreprises to raise money for charities. As part of the Archbishop Young Leaders award, our elder pupils organised an afternoon of events for our younger pupils.
Our curriculum is designed to give each child a range of memorable, exciting and relevant experiences. Here are some of the exciting things we have been up to:
