Our fabulous SIAMs report
SIAMs is the church inspection that all C of E schools have every 5 years.
The Christian vision is woven intrinsically into the life of the school and is the driving force behind leaders’ strategic decisions. As a result, lives are transformed from small beginnings into a thriving community.

The vision engenders a strong sense of responsibility in pupils. They embrace kindness and leadership, helping others to feel supported and ‘sheltered’. Driven by the vision, the well-crafted curriculum motivates pupils and ignites a love of learning. It is infused with big questions and enriched with imaginative activities, as well as carefully selected extra-curricular opportunities.
Health Workshop

The whole school took part in a fantastic health workshop. During the morning sessions, pupils learned about keeping their bodies healthy through balanced eating, staying hydrated, regular exercise and good daily habits. In the afternoon, the children put their learning into action with energetic exercise activities set to music. A huge thank you to our wonderful parent helpers for supporting the day. Children, staff, and volunteers all had a brilliant time, and it was lovely to see everyone so engaged and enthusiastic.
Firefighter Visit
One of our classes had a very exciting morning today when our local firefighters came to visit! The children learned all about fire safety and the importance of staying safe at home and in school. They thoroughly enjoyed the session and were especially thrilled to have a tour of the fire engine, a definite highlight of the day!

World Book Day
World Book Day was truly magical. The children, and quite a few staff members, looked absolutely brilliant in their costumes. Their enthusiasm brought such joy to the school. Our eldest pupils chose and practised reading picture books which they shared with the younger ones. Our youngest pupils also visited their local library.

Maths Mornings
This term, we have held a series of Maths workshops for parents, aimed at sharing how we teach Maths at Curzon. These sessions have been a huge success, with fantastic turnout and enthusiastic participation from families. It has been wonderful to see children eagerly pitting themselves against their parents in a range of maths games—there was plenty of friendly competition, laughter and some very impressive mental maths on display! We are thrilled that the workshops have helped build confidence and strengthen home–school partnerships around learning.

Trip to the Gurdwara
As part of their RE about Sikhi, some of our lower KS2 pupils visited the Gurdwara in Slough. They were made to feel very welcome and witnessed many acts of seva (volunteering to help others). They visited the worship halls and even witnessed a wedding. At the end, the pupils were treated to a delicious lunch in the langar, made by the volunteers. Our thanks to the parent helpers who joined us on this trip.

The Rainbow School- Kenya
We are delighted to share that our partnership with the Rainbow School in Kenya continues to flourish. This term, we have enjoyed taking part in live Zoom meetings with the pupils and staff there, giving our children a wonderful opportunity to learn about life in a different part of the world. We have also been exchanging photos, which has helped both schools build meaningful connections and celebrate our similarities as well as our differences. The Rainbow School was founded to support local orphans, and around 80% of its pupils are orphaned children. Knowing this, makes our link even more important, as it helps our children develop empathy, global awareness and a sense of shared responsibility. We look forward to continuing this special relationship and exploring further ways to learn from one another.
