Splashing Our Way into Summer at Toddles

As another school year comes to a close, we’ve been making the very most of the glorious summer weather at Toddles. From sunshine to soaring temperatures (and the more than occasional heatwave that had us all searching for the nearest shade!), our Wednesday mornings have been full of laughter, friendship and, of course, plenty of water play. There’s nothing quite like a few paddling pools, water trays and enthusiastic toddlers to ensure everyone goes home at least slightly damp!
It has been wonderful to continue welcoming new families from Winchmore Hill and the surrounding villages. Toddles is so much more than a playgroup; it’s a place where little ones can explore and play while parents, grandparents and carers can enjoy a chat, a cuppa and the reassurance that we are all in it together!

Our final Toddles of the school year was a very special Summer Party, where we celebrated another fantastic year together. It was also a bittersweet occasion as we said goodbye to four of our wonderful Toddles who are heading off to begin their exciting school adventures in September. We wish Lily, Connie, Ava and Freddie every happiness and success as they start this new chapter. We know they will all be amazing, and we can’t wait to hear about their adventures when they pop back to visit.

A very special thank you must also go to Bethan, who has co-run Toddles alongside Harriet throughout this year. Bethan has truly been worth her weight in gold. From making sure the snack table was always generously stocked to bringing endless warmth, kindness and energy every single Wednesday, she has helped make Toddles the welcoming, happy place it is. We are incredibly grateful for everything she has done.
We would also like to say a huge thank you to the wonderful Abbey, who kindly gave up her time to run a fantastic arts and crafts session in preparation for the Village Show. The children thoroughly enjoyed getting creative, producing beautiful flower prints and colourful painted masterpieces, each one as unique as its little artist! It was a wonderful morning of messy fun, imagination and creativity, and we are so grateful to Abbey for sharing her time, talent and enthusiasm.

As we head into the summer holidays, we’d like to thank everyone who has been part of Toddles this year. Whether you’ve joined us every week or just dropped in from time to time, you’ve helped create the friendly, supportive community that makes Toddles so special.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back after the summer break for another year of play, laughter, messy fun and making memories together. Until then, we hope you all have a wonderful summer!
