June Viney

It is with regret that we have to announce the sad passing of June Viney of Yew Tree cottage, Whielden Lane.

June passed away on the 30th June, 2 days after her 88th birthday after a protracted stay in a care home with dementia following a devastating stroke in 2023. June and Peter have lived in Yew Tree Cottage since moving from Chesham in 1998. June retired from a lengthy career in teaching, much of it at Thomas Harding Primary school where she was deputy head. June had a great love music and animals and spent a great deal of her retirement feeding the deer and birds that gathered in their beautiful garden.

Details of the funeral have not yet been announced due to Peter’s current health, but will be shared at the first opportunity.”
