Curzon’s school vision is that everyone grows like the mustard seed into a large tree that can support others. We continue to develop and flourish in many ways. Welcome to our Autumn 2024 news.
Our fabulous pupils Our new pupils have settled in extremely well to life at Curzon and are enjoying all it has to offer. It is wonderful to see older pupils helping younger ones and showing them around. Our Year 3 pupils have quickly made new friends through working together at Forest School. The Reception pupils have been exploring our excellent selection of indoor and outdoor activities.
Curriculum highlights Our curriculum is designed to give each child a range of memorable, exciting and relevant experiences. Here are some of the exciting things we have been up to: Each part of our curriculum is planned and logically sequenced to ensure that all children learn more, remember more, do more and are able to grow. Highlights for this term include: cookery days, Great Fire of London
workshop, trip to Ufton Court, Big Noise and much more.
“You start off as a small mustard seed in Reception and grow into a tree in Year 6 so that you can help others.” Year 6 pupil
Helping Others We have recently elected new House Captains and School and Eco Council representatives. Their roles will be to raise money for charity and support the community. We
are collecting food for the One Can Trust for our Harvest festival and have entered the Great Ormond Street 2Km and 5Km fun runs.
Improving our Environment We are always keen to improve our school environment. We have recently installed a brand-new outdoor play equipment trail, created an ELSA room and renovated one of our classrooms.
Come and join us Our next open morning is on Thursday 21st November - any time between 9:30 and 11:30 am. Please spread the word and come and see our lovely school.
