This year’s Village Dinner and Casino Night was nothing short of unforgettable—a perfect blend of great food, lively entertainment, and the warm sense of community that makes our village so special.

The night kicked off with drinks and a delicious dinner and then on to a buzzing casino floor—no passports or Las Vegas tickets required! Tables for blackjack and roulette came alive with laughter, cheers, and the occasional dramatic groan over a loss. Whether seasoned players or first-timers trying their hand, everyone joined in the fun with play money and a playful competitive spirit. The energy was contagious, with good-natured banter and lots of fun being had by all.

As the evening wrapped up, more than anything the event reminded us why gatherings like these matter - they bring people together, strengthen connections, and create stories we’ll talk about long after the tables are cleared.

“Dress to impress” James-Bond style was taken very seriously and proved that we clean up VERY well with some 007 posing and lots of sparkling Bond-girl glamour. MI6 has been notified.
Thanks to the Potters Arms who put on the event, with a particular shout-out to Lauren and her very impressive organisational skills. Our Village Dinner and Casino Night was a true jackpot of community spirit, and we can’t wait to do it all again.
